If you want to get ripped off - check out precision garage door. Yes, my garage made a horrible sound when it went up and down and needed some repairs but to pay - $4600+ for parts that cost less than $100 a piece to be replaced is crazy. See the invoice of what was replaced. I didn’t have the actual door itself replaced or the motor. Such a shame that my wife fell victim to getting ripped off like this.

Called late afternoon one day after having issues with my garage door and in less than 2 hours there was a technician at my house starting repairs. 2 new doors installed. Tech failed on multiple aspects. 1 spring was not tensioned properly, weather molding not attached properly, locks not installed and he couldn’t be bothered to replace the wire nuts on the trip sensors. Less than a bare minimum effort.

Flawless service, excellent communication, and overall, very impressive. I arrived home from work and noticed one of my garage door springs broke. Online, I quickly scheduled for Precision to visit to assess the door somewhere between 6-10p. Arriving around 6p, our rep was phenomenal from start to finish. I gave him all the info, explained how much we used the door, and he began. He quickly figured the life of the door and components plus was speedy in producing an estimate. He never pressured me on what to replace, and I felt well informed to make a decision. Quite a well-spoken rep and incredibly professional. After giving the thumbs up, he began to work and had everything in the van for the repair. We replaced all components on the door, and now it's incredibly quiet. As a professional handyman, I can't speak highly enough about how well-informed I was during the process and felt I received the highest quality of service. Props to our rep and Precision for having a smooth, easy workflow. From an easy sign-up service online to the quality of repair, I am very impressed with the overall process (our rep was the best). I've used companies for repairs before, but this was the easiest experience I can remember. I appreciate the thought put into your customer service and experience. It's commendable.

At the end of a long day that started with my wife having surgery and an expensive new roof installation being completed while we were at the hospital, I returned home. While pulling into my garage I heard a loud sound as the door opened. The door would close but not open again, just a grinding sound. I called Precision as it was late in the day and I noticed they were open 24 hours. The man who came out was very friendly and seemed well-informed. In our initial conversation I had mentioned the challenges I was facing that day, he told me how old our opener and the mechanicals are, how he could put a band aid on it but it ther parts would likely break within a month then showed me the price of $4,999 to replace the whole system. That seemed unusually expensive. He pointed out that a 2x4 to which the apparatus was attached had come loose as well. He told me he could get it working and it would take about an hour. I went inside and began reading other reviews about Precision and found several very similar to the experience I was having and with similar price points. Before I could go outside and tell him not to complete the job, he was tapping on the door to indicate he was finished, not in an hour but about 10 minutes. He produced no parts that had been replaced only a smell of lubricant on the apparatus and the 2x4 reattached. The price was over $600. It felt like I was being preyed upon at a difficult time, I felt like I was not dealt with in an honest way, not to mention being way, way overcharged for 10 minutes of work. I will never, ever, use Precision again. Nor will I recommend to anyone looking for help with garage door issues to use Precision. Avoid this company at all costs. Zero stars but it won’t allow me to post unless I give it at least 1 which is a drastic overstatement. There should be an option for negative numbers.
