I scheduled Precision Garage Door to come out and fix a broken spring on our garage door, and I really wish I would have taken more time to read reviews and look for a more reputable company. Our technician was very kind and did a good job - however, I feel scammed and taken advantage of by this company. WAY over priced. All I had was one broken spring, and they tried to get $2k+ out of me. After saying I did not want any extra repairs and services, the cost for replacing both springs and bearing which had apparently been very worn out cost me $1300. After talking to some people I have learned that is over priced. I know someone who had a entire new garage door installed for around that same price, and a spring would only be a couple hundred bucks anywhere else. Sad and upset that I'm out over a grand for something that cost less than $70 at Menards. Total scam.

I was assured it was long enough to be tacked neatly along the wall. Once installed, the 6-foot cord was dangling across the room—low enough for my kids to pull on, creating a real safety hazard. While the technician admitted his mistake and kindly offered to uninstall the unit, management was completely unhelpful. Their only solution was for me to buy a $500 extension kit or hire an electrician to move the outlet. I shouldn't have to spend hundreds extra to fix a safety issue caused by misrepresentation prior to purchase. Excellent technician, but very disappointing customer service from management.

The technician was great. My complaint was whoever installed the system. The first time didn’t hook it up properly which caused it to break so they charged me for something he didn’t do properly.

NEIGHBOR had work completed by your team on Saturday afternoon AND our garage door controller could then operate both home’s garage doors. I would say this was a safety issue. We called Friday night and twice more on Saturday morning. We asked for a simple call back from a manager of the techs on all three calls. No responses. Finally on Saturday afternoon a tech arrived and had to reset and reprogram all of our devices. This still allowed our controllers to operate BOTH GARAGE DOORS. the techs then went over to our neighbors home and reprogram their units.

I I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received. Tony appeared irritated whenever I asked questions, which made the experience uncomfortable. He attempted to sell additional items that I did not need and stated that your company provides higher-quality products. However, the product he used was not the higher quality he described. Although he said he was not charging me for the product itself, I was charged $200 for labor for what appeared to be approximately ten minutes of work to install a small bracket. I believe this charge was unreasonable given the scope of the work. Due to this experience, I will not recommend your service to my friends or family.

Price for repair was over inflated and they price adjusted down after complaining to the tech and then got a reasonable price after threatening to use another company. Door only worked a couple times. Had to call and they sent a different tech out to fix it properly.

One star because 0 stars wasn't possible. I needed my garage door spring replaced and called out Precision. Imani was my technician and she tried to convince my wife to pay $2400 for this repair. After telling her multiple times we wouldn't pay that much, the price dropped and dropped and dropped until my wife agreed to $700 which was still too high for the single spring set up she installed. This type of tactic is beyond dishonest.

Very expensive and absolutely thieves. Big time over charged me, when I called they said the door remote was 60 dollars but they charged me 180 per remote, pulse 250 for outside keypad. I absolutely don’t recommend this company to anyone. STAY AWAY

Pricing is exploitative. Representative played dumb that he didn't know he was selling me a $400 garage door opener for $1400. Also tried to sell me extra opener remotes for 10x the off the shelf price. He told me it was a 3 hour install job and he was done in 45 minutes. This business is a classic example of the Enshittification of everything these days. I'm guessing Precision Garage Door has sold out to some private equity group, and they are now squeezing every penny possible of the customer base. Praying for the comeback of local businesses that don't need an iPad to provide you basic services.

I called for a simple spring replacement. The person on the phone said it would be $100-$300 for a spring replacement. The tech provided me with an initial quote of $1,555 to replace the 2 springs and shaft bearings. The springs are under $100, and the bearings are probably $10 in bulk. Tech took off the bearing replacement and said it would be $1,000. That is still way off, so he called his manager and then quoted $400. I felt like I was being scammed, so I asked the technician to leave. I found a local, reputable company to perform the service for $200. Sad, because I used Precision to install a complete garage door in Tampa for $999, and that included the install, rails, door, springs, and everything else. Not sure what this location is doing, but very scary.

They were timely and came out when they said they would. I ended up going with another company bc Precision was way overpriced. I saved almost $2000 going elsewhere. Do your due diligence and get other estimates. It will save you money by looking at other places.

Spring busted on our garage and the technician came right out and offered us a quote, which we accepted not expecting to be taken advantage of. They completed the job fast and the tech seemed very good. However, I uploaded the receipt into ChatGPT and was told “you paid at least double the going rate for Columbus” among other negative feedback about our bill. I researched around and other companies quoted 2-3x less than what this company said. Did not anticipate predatory, used-car sales tactics from a supposed reputable company. Will never be using this company again

Our service man was great. But had to charge $110. This is outrageous. It just needed re-programmed. If I had gotten a smarter person on the help line, he could have walked me through doing it myself. I feel ripped off by Precision.

Super sweet tech, not his fault but it costs me $270 for him to take less than 5 min to bend the sensors back into place. Never felt so cheated in my life. Got quotes for new opener and install and markup on openers is unbelievable. Quotes were between $1,100 - $1,300. Place is crazy over priced, which I don’t believe friendly customer service makes up for. After research, the average cost for unit and labor to replace a garage door opener is $250 -$750. I only need residential grade, but even with a commercial grade opener, $1,100 is steep and outside the realm of reality. I had used this company a few years ago and did not have this issue.

The tech. Did a great job. My complaint is $2086 for 2.5 hrs work. 3 braces. New rollers. New springs. A few hinges and 3 bearings. Called a local company after the work was finished and her first question was “you must’ve used precision.” I’ll never use them again!

The cost of an opener is less than 500 but you charged me 1800 for the opener and installation. That is a rip off at every level and in hindsight I should have bought one on line and paid someone to install and could have saved a ton of money. My fault for not doing my homework but I really thought prices had gone up that much. Turns out you just overcharged and I hope you lose lots of business from this dishonest practice.

I had your company repair my garage door before. I called when I had another issue and they came same day. The repair person came and saw my issues and repaired everything without any issues. He was VERY kind, beyond all expectations. I can't thank him enough.
