We had precision door service repair the springs and wheels previously on our garage door. So it was an easy choice when the opener decided to die on who to call for service. Precision door was quick to respond. Gave me several choices and completed the job fast with a great product. The new opener is so much quieter than the old opener. Completely satisfied with this repair job.

We always shop local, and Precision was our first choice, on a FRIDAY! The call was handled professionally and with patient assistance. Next morning service was arranged. Ead's service was considerate, patient, and thorough. The inspection of our prior system was efficient, an explanation was accompanied by a photo of the problem. Options were presented without pressure, and a whole new system installed in 3 hours.

Emily quoted me $64-$118 per torsion spring, installed (listen to your recorded call), no service fee if work was done. I repeated torsion springs a few times & wrote it all down. She also said the tech would give me the actual quote for everything needed, but $118 was the most for a torsion spring. Very surprised when it was $180 per torsion spring (w/discount).. I advised what Emily said, but was told that is for the regular springs on side & she must have thought I meant those. I made sure Emily knew it was torsion springs on top, I specifically asked several times. She checked again & said yes, the torsion springs on top. So 2 torsion springs and 3 bearings was $559.00, that was with $100 discount. Not even the best coated torsion springs, just the basic. I feel Emily deceived me. The tech was nice & knew what he was doing. Your people that make appointments should give actual prices when asked. I was caught off guard. Needed new rollers too but it would have costs $900. Given 3 stars because Emily was deceptive. People want to know ahead of time, an estimate. Imagine if I had been elderly & on a fixed income. Please train your phone staff to be more transparent.

He was most patient sharing with me the required operational steps as we initiated the WiFi, the door remote and the two car remotes. I felt the technician , Tom, did an outstanding job repairing my broken garage door spring by replacing both springs with the better quality springs, and giving the door a full needed tune up to include new torsion cables, ball bearing flanges, new rollers, plus checked the whole door system for problems. I felt he was very knowledgeable took pride in doing top quality work and represented the company well. I would recommend this company for your garage door needs and repairs. I will call this company again when needed.

Alex came to our house today to help us with a problem. My Dad came to visit from Pittsburgh last night and as he pulled in he bumped the garage door and damaged it. He was mortified. He immediately called Precision in the morning and very shortly afterward Alex called. He was professional, pleasant, very helpful, empathetic, and made us feel very important. The yellow pages indicated repair would be soon - and we had two cars imprisoned inside. Someone came within two hours. (Our troubleshooting had produced no results.) Sorry, we have no paperwork so I can't tell you all that was done - more than springs. We now have a van where the tech couldn't program in the new opener information and AN OUTDOOR KEYPAD THAT DOESN'T RESPOND TO THE NUMBERS WE HAD PROGRAMED IN and no "clicker" for inside use. Our garage door broke late Saturday night. I went on home adviser and was able to get in touch Percision Door service Service and make an appointment for the next day at 2:00. Dustin arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. He completed the work in a timely and neat manner. When completed he explained and showed us what he did. It was time to replace my 28 yr old opener when I got tired of shaking my car remote to get it to work. Since Precision did a great job on replacing my garage door a few yrs ago, I decided to contact them again. My appt time was 8am-10am Thursday 2/13 and I received a phone call at 0745 informing me they were on their way. Bob and Tom arrived shortly thereafter on this cold and snowing day. They showed me all my options with prices and even offered to try to find a car remote for my old one. After answering all my questions I chose the new one I wanted. They got to work, installed the new one and went over all the features and how to use it. Bob also shoveled my driveway and sidewalks!! I could've asked for a better team or experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or call this company again. In this day and age it's hard to find a company like this. Thanks again for a job well done.

ALEX and associate diagnosed problem with garage door suggested multiple repair options. I chose to have new torsion spring along with a more poweful power door opener replaced. Upon completion Alex reviewed the work done and instructed me on new power door open operation. Both techs were very friendly and got the job done. Also they fashioned a new and improved bracket where the J hook attaches to the door to lift it. I would rate both techs as ***** *

This has nothing to do with the service guy cuz he was nice but he basically said I can't fix the spring on this system so I can convert it to another system for a fortune. Nothing on the website told me that they wouldn't be able to fix my problem yet I am supposed to pay them 55 bucks anyway. Seems like a racket to me.

Hi Chris, I am sorry to hear about you experience with our company. We aim to please every customer, but, we have obviously missed the mark this time. While speaking to you on the phone I told you that I could not speak to any other companies’ parts or pricing. I can only speak on the quality our parts. The industry standard for springs is to use 10,000 life cycle springs. We use 30,000 and 50,000 life cycle springs. Some companies will also use 1 spring on a double door when it is safer and recommended to use 2 springs. I am not saying either of these is the case just telling you what I have seen in the past. You did not want to discuss this on the phone so I will not talk too much about that. Also, as I told you on the phone, I am voiding the check you wrote us and sending it back to you. As a small business that has been in Columbus for almost 20 years we take customer satisfaction very serious. I am happy that you were able to find a company to execute this repair for you and get your garage back up and running.

We received excellent service. We got the overhaul package. There was a very slight opening when we closed the door and Tim came right back and made the adjustments needed for the door to close completely.
