I called your company yesterday as my garage door opener was acting erratic. I immediately was given an appointment and Tom came out. He was technically excellent and diagnosed the problem. The yellow pages indicated repair would be soon - and we had two cars imprisoned inside. Someone came within two hours. (Our troubleshooting had produced no results.) Sorry, we have no paperwork so I can't tell you all that was done - more than springs. We now have a van where the tech couldn't program in the new opener information and AN OUTDOOR KEYPAD THAT DOESN'T RESPOND TO THE NUMBERS WE HAD PROGRAMED IN and no "clicker" for inside use. He did work efficiently and explained things as he went. Now to get our credit card accepted. Mary Anne

Your company was the first to respond to Home Advisor's inquiry. Your employee, Mike, was professional, explained the problems my garage door had and quoted the related costs. My garage door is over 10 years old, and I was alerted there were problems by the way the door operated. I am very satisfied with the service I received.

It was time to replace my 28 yr old opener when I got tired of shaking my car remote to get it to work. Since Precision did a great job on replacing my garage door a few yrs ago, I decided to contact them again. My appt time was 8am-10am Thursday 2/13 and I received a phone call at 0745 informing me they were on their way. Bob and Tom arrived shortly thereafter on this cold and snowing day. They showed me all my options with prices and even offered to try to find a car remote for my old one. After answering all my questions I chose the new one I wanted. They got to work, installed the new one and went over all the features and how to use it. Bob also shoveled my driveway and sidewalks!! I could've asked for a better team or experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or call this company again. In this day and age it's hard to find a company like this. Thanks again for a job well done.

This has nothing to do with the service guy cuz he was nice but he basically said I can't fix the spring on this system so I can convert it to another system for a fortune. Nothing on the website told me that they wouldn't be able to fix my problem yet I am supposed to pay them 55 bucks anyway. Seems like a racket to me.

Hi Chris, I am sorry to hear about you experience with our company. We aim to please every customer, but, we have obviously missed the mark this time. While speaking to you on the phone I told you that I could not speak to any other companies’ parts or pricing. I can only speak on the quality our parts. The industry standard for springs is to use 10,000 life cycle springs. We use 30,000 and 50,000 life cycle springs. Some companies will also use 1 spring on a double door when it is safer and recommended to use 2 springs. I am not saying either of these is the case just telling you what I have seen in the past. You did not want to discuss this on the phone so I will not talk too much about that. Also, as I told you on the phone, I am voiding the check you wrote us and sending it back to you. As a small business that has been in Columbus for almost 20 years we take customer satisfaction very serious. I am happy that you were able to find a company to execute this repair for you and get your garage back up and running.

We received excellent service. We got the overhaul package. There was a very slight opening when we closed the door and Tim came right back and made the adjustments needed for the door to close completely.

David came on a very cold Sunday morning to look at our garage door that had come off the tracks and the lower panel was bent. He quickly told us that the same door was not available and we would need to replace all three garage doors. Earlier my son-in-law had removed the bottom panel and was attempting to straighten it with some success. David helped him straighten it out and reassemble the door. He replaced the rollers and cables. Door looks great. My son-in-law commented that he enjoyed working with David.

Precision answered the call promptly and arranged for a service representative to visit that day. This service visit was actually before the arranged time but they called ahead to ensure that that was ok. My problem was quickly identified and corrected in a pleasant manner. Very knowledgeable technician replaced springs and coils put in new rollers. There was not much room to work and the tech was understandinging and was happy we were able to clear some room for him. After the job was done you could not tell he was there, I believe leaving a clean job site directly results in the quality of work performed. Thanks precision garage door

Had a problem with the garage door not staying closed. The technician came out and determined that the door was hitting the floor too hard. The door would bounce slightly which started it opening again. He made a little adjustment and everything is working fine now..

It turned out that all I needed was a new "remote" (or whatever the proper term is!), but after Dave replaced that he inspected the door (originally installed by Precision Door 15 years ago), lubricated all the suitable parts, and left behind a quieter, smoothly running door. What can go wrong on a Halloween night? Plenty, if the garage door brackets break, and one is not able to get the cars out for the following morning. Precision Door was wonderful and sent Tom out on an emergency call to fix our door. Not only was Tom knowledgeable, prompt, and courteous, he was an absolute sweetheart and explained everything needed to repair the door. Emily quoted me $64-$118 per torsion spring, installed (listen to your recorded call), no service fee if work was done. I repeated torsion springs a few times & wrote it all down. She also said the tech would give me the actual quote for everything needed, but $118 was the most for a torsion spring. Very surprised when it was $180 per torsion spring (w/discount).. I advised what Emily said, but was told that is for the regular springs on side & she must have thought I meant those. I made sure Emily knew it was torsion springs on top, I specifically asked several times. She checked again & said yes, the torsion springs on top. So 2 torsion springs and 3 bearings was $559.00, that was with $100 discount. Not even the best coated torsion springs, just the basic. I feel Emily deceived me. The tech was nice & knew what he was doing. Your people that make appointments should give actual prices when asked. I was caught off guard. Needed new rollers too but it would have costs $900. Given 3 stars because Emily was deceptive. People want to know ahead of time, an estimate. Imagine if I had been elderly & on a fixed income. Please train your phone staff to be more transparent.
