Beware questionable business practices,asked for an estimate tech said he needed to see the door first,it had broke the spring and one of the cables on the front side,the tech took the left hand side apart of course so when he gave me his ridiculous estimate eventually I would feel compelled to allow it,he gave me a $2330.00 estimate to not only replace the spring and cables but all kinds of parts for the door ,plus an additional future rebalancing of tge door at a later date,unbelievable, I told him to just replace the spring and the two cables ,he was upset and angry but did the work and charged me $584.00 to do the spring and cables,he has obviously been trained to up sell and charge people ridiculous money for things they dont need,I obviously will never use this company again and highly recommend you dont either.

Precision installed a new garage door opener for us yesterday. The technician first inspected our opener to see if it could be salvaged. After thoroughly describing the condition of the opener and the door, THEN we started talking about a new opener. After he installed it he the set up our cars with it and walked me through setting up the app. I will never call anyone but Precision for my garage door needs.

I was charged $5200.00 to replace broken spring and 10 year old opener. It's an old wooden door and tech did fix old parts but this is ridiculous. I requested talk with team with chat bot. Please help me understand why I shouldn't take you to court. Friends have had springs replaced for $200-$300. Maybe the opener need to be replaced for maybe 2K$. I'm sure the work was well done and it works well but this cost way too much. Friends recommended you but I can't after this experience. All I really wanted was to get door open and my wife's car out. I just came from a friends funeral and was not prepared for the sales pitch.

A few days ago, my wife and I had a problem with our garage door opener not working properly. I called Precision Garage Door Service for help. I was greeted very nicely by a person who quickly set up an appointment for the next day. The next afternoon, Patrick Mulligan showed up at our door. He had called to let me know when he would be arriving and came at the time he said. He was very polite and friendly. He quickly found the problem and assured us that he would have the problem solved. Sure enough, in a short amount of time he completed the job and after giving us a report of what he had done he was on his way. It was a pleasure working with him and we'll certainly call again if the need arises.

I called to get an estimate to have the springs changed, install a heavier duty opener and adjust all the hardware for my 2 car garage door. They scheduled a visit for the very next day. The technician called 20 min prior to arrival and showed up on time, ready to work. He patiently waited while I explained all the issues and what I want as the final outcome. He told me to give him 20 min to check everything over and come up with a price. He gave me a quote which was a little higher than I wanted to spend. When I told him I would get back to him in a couple days, he called his boss and they dropped the quoted price to secure my business that day. He completed the work quickly and efficiently, while cleaning up as he worked. The job took about 1.25 hours. He programmed all of the remotes, the keypad and even showed me how to connect wirelessly with the Genie app. I was extremely impressed with his knowledge and the care he took to insure everything was fixed to the best of his ability. I would definitely recommend Precision Garage Door to anyone needing an upgrade to old equipment.

At the end of a long day that started with my wife having surgery and an expensive new roof installation being completed while we were at the hospital, I returned home. While pulling into my garage I heard a loud sound as the door opened. The door would close but not open again, just a grinding sound. I called Precision as it was late in the day and I noticed they were open 24 hours. The man who came out was very friendly and seemed well-informed. In our initial conversation I had mentioned the challenges I was facing that day, he told me how old our opener and the mechanicals are, how he could put a band aid on it but it ther parts would likely break within a month then showed me the price of $4,999 to replace the whole system. That seemed unusually expensive. He pointed out that a 2x4 to which the apparatus was attached had come loose as well. He told me he could get it working and it would take about an hour. I went inside and began reading other reviews about Precision and found several very similar to the experience I was having and with similar price points. Before I could go outside and tell him not to complete the job, he was tapping on the door to indicate he was finished, not in an hour but about 10 minutes. He produced no parts that had been replaced only a smell of lubricant on the apparatus and the 2x4 reattached. The price was over $600. It felt like I was being preyed upon at a difficult time, I felt like I was not dealt with in an honest way, not to mention being way, way overcharged for 10 minutes of work. I will never, ever, use Precision again. Nor will I recommend to anyone looking for help with garage door issues to use Precision. Avoid this company at all costs. Zero stars but it won’t allow me to post unless I give it at least 1 which is a drastic overstatement. There should be an option for negative numbers.
