I called Precision Garage Door of Columbus to repair a garage door spring that broke. I chose Precision because of their excellent on-line reviews and I am glad I did. Precision technician David Morgan arrived promptly. He thoroughly inspected the garage door and he clearly explained everything to me. I authorized the service to be performed and the garage door was repaired. The charge was reasonable. David Morgan did an excellent job and I highly recommend both him and Precision Garage Door of Columbus to anyone who has a problem with their garage door.

I simply looked for a Genie garage door opener repair site and yours was first. Tom, your repairman, was very polite and cordial I showed him the Genie keypad we used to open the garage doorI forgot the Genie code. Tom repaired the apparatus asked me for a new 4-digit code and could not get the Genie to operate. Tom said he has never seen such old equipment and was very disappointed that he could not get the keypad to open the garage door. I can still open the garage door using the Genie opener we store in the car. Tom "put everything back the way he found it and did not charge me for his labor.

The Technician, Tom Palmer was very helpful. We called, thinking we needed a new battery. He thoroughly inspected everything. He noticed that the springs were worn and needed to be replaced. Also, he noticed the wood holding up the bracket (Spring Pad Lumber) was cracked. He also replaced the weather seal on the bottom of the door. He was able to take care of everything within a couple of hours.

Sarah was excellent from start to finish. She was thorough, professional, and very knowledgeable about the products. She walked me through every detail of the door, including specifications like the steel gauge and thickness, and explained the differences between the two options she quoted. She answered every question I had, and I had plenty, without ever making me feel rushed or pressured to decide on the spot. In fact, she was the one who suggested leaving a brochure for me to review and then following up by email with the estimates, which I really appreciated. They corrected our old door after we had new concrete poured and the door now closes perfectly and seals at the bottom. The battery needed to be replaced (gave of a buzz every 2 minutes) and they came out the same day and there was no charge ( we are still under warranty).

Knew reputation and past performance; however, Precision's mark-up on Genie Opener was highly excessive for the garage door opener market. The labor charge was reasonable for this area, but product cost made this an expensive deal. More economical to purchase opener online or at big box store and pay for installation. Also, not receiving an immediate copy of the invoice was unacceptable.
