We have been using Precision since 2007. We initially purchased a complete overhaul package, which at that time came with a lifetime warranty. You never really know if a company will truly honor such a warranty for a lifetime but Precision amazingly has. We have contacted them a number of times through the years for warranty service and they have always cheerfully come through, the same day, and once even on Christmas Eve. Today was no exception. Our technician Tom, not only fixed the broken spring, but did a complete inspection and found cables that were wearing out and possibly needing replaced in the near future. He replaced them along with the spring, lubricated the door and made sure everything would be running smoothly for the foreseeable future, with only a charge for the service call. I have nothing but good things to say about this company.

Tom was on time based on his ETA. He was very friendly, professional and the issue with the keypad was resolved quick. He showed me how to program keypad for the next time I change out the batteries.

The Precision tech arrived within 15 minutes of my call and was incredible! Adam was committed to solving the issue which was complicated by my door not having the correct springs for the size and weight of the door. The added weight was due to extra support struts put on by the company 4 years ago, and it turns out the springs should have been addressed at that time. After trying to get the tension right for a long time, Adam spoke to his boss who said "make it right" and provided a new spring system at no additional cost to me. Not only was Adam committed to fixing my door, but the company stood up and made right on an oversight from four years ago. THAT is incredible customer service!

While my problem with my garage door being jammed was fixed, I feel I got ripped off having been charged $832 for an hour's work. The cost should reflect the difficulty of the problem based on what was done. The cost was based on all that could go wrong before even working on the door. I know there has to be an estimate, but the true cost should be adjusted fairly according to what was needed to be done.

David H did an excellent job, and very quickly too. He even greased my bearings, and the entire opener system at no charge. I received an estimate the night before online and the final price was within that estimate. The estimate perimeters were very broad and they could easily be narrower to reflect what the actual price will be for a broken spring. They quoted $100-$360 and final price was $350 minus a 10% educators discount for the final price of $315. I am a satisfied customer overall.

Great service! The first person I spoke with when requiring about some needed door repairs, was very courteous and friendly. She made my appointment that suited my needs and gave me a time between 3 and 6. To my surprise, she called back and said she had a technician in the area that could arrive by 1:00. Matt arrived on time, examined my needs and gave me a quote. Within 10 minutes he called me to inspect his work, which was exactly as I requested. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Garage Door is all fixed. I highly recommend Precision Garage Door Service in Columbus. Their service is INCREDIBLE! David Morgan, our tech, was super cool. He didn’t try to sell us crap we don’t need. Reprogrammed everything and when we asked about an extra remote for our cars, he had one on hand and programmed it for us. Also, before they show up they send you a confirmation email including pictures of their technicians so you know who to expect when they show up. That is some above and beyond service right there!!!
