The garage door spring broke on Friday afternoon after 4pm. Precision Door was my second call, after my usual garage door service company couldn’t come until Wednesday. As promised, the service tech arrived early Sunday afternoon. In addition to a broken spring, bearings were very worn, drum cables were crimped from the broken spring crash,and a few steel mount plates showed hairline cracks. I was presented with three cost estimates- replace the spring to get the door back into operation but doesn’t address the bearings and other long term issues, and two other estimates that addressed the gamut of worn out equipment. Generally I don’t fix anything unless broken but decided to pay for the preventive maintenance. I have no idea if I “overpaid” as it was a weekend service call and it wasn’t a cheap bill. That said Walker, the service tech, was the repair person that you hope will come to service your broken door - polite and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this company.

I chose Precision, because the previous owners must have used them as there was a sticker on the garage door. I'm very glad I did because the service man who came out was amazing. He told me what he thought was happening and why, offered several options for what would work for me, and then walked me through everything thoroughly when he was done. He even noticed that the handles to raise the door manually were in an awkward place and repositioned them for me before he left (I'd never even thought about it). I don't know whether they are competitive pricewise, I'm not sure I really care, because the service was so good. Would definitely recommend highly. I wish all the service workers I've had come to my house were as efficient, dedicated and helpful as Walker was.

I was looking for door service to get a new lock on my door. Mr. Walker Furpahs came to my home. I had been told that I could not get have a power door. I chose Precision from a referral of a friend who had a new door opener installed a few weeks ago. I was really surprised when I called yesterday and a technician, Walker, was able to come out around 4:00 PM in the same afternoon. There had been two lightbulbs over the last six months that hadn't just burned out, they actually exploded and sent glass all over the garage. I've never really been happy with the way the door itself was working. It seemed noisy and seemed slow at times and faster at others. Walker went over everything and found some things that didn't seem to be done correctly when I had the garage built last year. I asked him if he would give me an estimate to repair the entire thing in order for it to perform correctly. Again, I was surprised after I okayed the repairs and he was able to replace the opener and repair the other things the same evening. I thought it would be several days to repair. My garage door is now steady and quiet when opening and closing. He arrived around 3:40 PM and was done and on his way by around 7:00 PM. He was very pleasant and informative. He had no problem answering any of my questions or showing me and explaining to me what he was doing. I grew up with three brothers and they were always helping me and showing me how to do things so I've always been interested in seeing how things work. Because of them, I feel pretty self sufficient today. I may be 75 years old but I'm still learning. Walker is a great asset to your company. dI needed my garage door system fixed. A young man named Walker came and looked into my situation. Since my prior work had been done by Garage Door Service the motor was theirs. It was a circuit problem. Being on a strick budget, I could not afford a new one. Walker walked me through all of the senarios and I ended up not fixing now. There was no charge and the technician was wonderful I would recommend Precision to anyone for honest estimates and excellent service. A definite 5.

Walker was our technician. He did an excellent job. When he did his initial inspection he pointed out that the springs were not adequate for the weight of the door. The old motor was showing signs of wear gears, and circuit board. He recommended the 3/4 HP Linear motor and better springs with a belt drive. Longer warranty and quieter opener. Very pleased.
