I broke my garage door Sunday evening. Was able to get the car inside so called Precision Monday morning at 8:30. Was scheduled for service between 10 am and 2 pm. Service tech called about 9:45 to say he'd arrive in about 30 minutes. He arrived at 10:15. We reviewed my problem--the door was uneven--the right side was closing about 1 inch off the floor. The technician, Dustin K, operated the door with the door opener to see what was going on. Then he disconnected the garage door opener and operated the door by hand. It was hard to raise and slammed down. His analysis was that the springs were not operating correctly--there was not enough tension. He also identified a damaged cable--that was my fault. He gave an estimate of what needed to be replaced and the price. He replaced both tension springs and the cable and adjusted to door. Now it works perfectly. I approved his recommendation. He completed the work in about half and hour and encouraged me to operate the door opener. Every thing worked perfect. His charge was equal to his estimate. Dustin seemed to know what he was doing, did it right and within his estimate. He was personable and easy to work with. I recommend Precision Overhead Garage Door Service and would certainly use them again if I need service.

Our garage door went out today and Precision was able to come out same day which was awesome. Derek was our technician. He was knowledgeable, respectful, nice, and seemed very genuine. He broke down our different options and we ended up customizing a bit but overall it was a very pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone and I only selected this company because of all the good reviews soooo I'm adding to your "good review" collection! Thank you so much!

I debated between a 1 and 2 stars. Precision was quick to respond to our broken torsion spring and the tech was professional. That was the only good thing for them. In this area of Columbus there are many garage door repair companies and as due diligence called several to obtain a quote. I explained everything that was needed and what the issue was; gave them exact measurements of the torsion spring and that I would need 2. They said it would be $80-$250, max would be $250. When I called other companies it was anywhere from $220-$350 max for both springs and was upfront about their process. I confirmed that it was for both torsion springs and not just the one. They confirmed. Great! Went with precision. After the repairman looked at the springs, ball bearings, and the motor in all he said it was in all good condition and needs new springs. He did mention that the ball bearings were wearing down and they may have about 2-3 more years left in them. I asked how many and he said $240 for all bear bearings, $80 a piece. I said okay, worth it to keep it longer and not have further issues down the road. Then when all was said and done he said the total was going to be ~$800 taxes included. $800! How does $250 (max) plus the $240 for the ball bearings equal $800. The tech replied that each spring is $250. I told him what his coworkers told me and he said they don't know what they are talking about. They never know prices. Maybe the company should be more communitive between repairman and the office. Why quote different prices? So if you wish to pay three times what the quoted price is, go with these guys. I wish I would have said no and gone with another company that was more upfront and does free estimates onsite. If I would have said no to them they would have charged $50 for coming out. Go somewhere else if you don't want to be surprised with costs and be lied to about the quotes. I understand that quotes are just quotes but to be off by three times is ridiculous.

I thought the light on our opener was staying on. The tech didn’t know anything about it. He said since it was a Craftsman he couldn’t do anything and I would have to utube it. Your techs came out before and did minor corrections on the system. I was not happy.

Precision Overhead Garage Door did NOT disappoint! I experienced excellent customer service and highly skilled installation of my garage doors! The representative came out to my house the next day after visiting the website to give me an estimate. Megan was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She was able to give me an estimate within 30 minutes of being at my house. She scheduled installation for the following week. Jeff (the installer) gave me a courtesy call 20 minutes prior to getting to my house. He did an excellent job installing my garage doors, was very friendly, and reviewed how to use the openers upon finishing the job. I cannot recommend this company enough! I had been through two other garage door companies that either sent out unprofessional representatives, or never even called me back. Precision will provide excellent service!

I have used Precision Garage Doors on several occasions now. The technician has always been Matt Eberly. He is always professional and quite knowledgeable on the issue at hand. On a prior visit he advised on changing the springs on the door and I figured it was still working. Well, he was right, because the spring just wore out and I just replaced it. I am very pleased with the service that I received from the Technician Dave. Dave was very professional and understood my concern and urgency to have the garage door repaired. I just purchased a new vehicle two days ago and was very concerned about not being able to close the garage door. Dave took the time to examine the door and provided three estimates for me to choose. I selected the less expensive option because where I reside I rent and all repairs are covered. However, this being a weekend and holiday maintenance could not come out. Dave,knew I was concerned that I was hoping that door would operate safely and not cause any harm to me or my car. I chose Precision to handle my minor automatic garage door issue because they are the one that not only installed MY opener in my condo, but installed the one in my nearby sister's garage, too. "Dan" came within the 2 hour appointment window (on a Sunday!) as scheduled, quickly fixed the issue, and fixed a couple of other minor things with the opener. We also had a very friendly time talking about my favorite soccer team, the CREW! I will definitely contact Precision again for any issues I have with both my garage door opener and my sister's. 5 stars FOR SURE!
