Joe was the technician. He was great. Very congenial and professional.The garage door was putting too much weight on the springs. It was over 20 lbs. Joe was able to adjust the pressure so the weight was a little less than 8 lbs. Precision had replaced the springs many years ago and at that time they offered a lifetime warranty on the springs. Joe was able to adjust the pressure on the springs as part of the warranty even though the springs were not broken. I have the original purchase receipt to verify the lifetime warranty.

She walked me through every detail of the door, including specifications like the steel gauge and thickness, and explained the differences between the two options she quoted. They corrected our old door after we had new concrete poured and the door now closes perfectly and seals at the bottom. The battery needed to be replaced (gave of a buzz every 2 minutes) and they came out the same day and there was no charge ( we are still under warranty).

Knew reputation and past performance; however, Precision's mark-up on Genie Opener was highly excessive for the garage door opener market. The labor charge was reasonable for this area, but product cost made this an expensive deal. More economical to purchase opener online or at big box store and pay for installation. Also, not receiving an immediate copy of the invoice was unacceptable.

We had seen several advertisements on TV and noticed they were also BBB accredited. Our garage door was not operating properly and would not close. The technician arrived on time, was friendly and courteous. He took a few minutes to check out our old garage door opener to find the problem. He had another person stop by also. Our circuit board in our old garage door opener was fried. They gave us options for an opener that would suit our needs based our activities.
