Tim was terrific! He checked things out (the door wouldn't open, manually or electronically) and after fixing the wood issue, told us what the options were for the opener. Given the impending cold weather, we decided to go ahead and have the opener replaced - and are delighted to now have keyless entry!

The installation is professional but the price is outrageous! Can you imagine the spring cost $163 each and it was suggested to have two installed! Ask for a handy man to do the job rather than get gouged be the cost of the parts! Avoid if you can! The cost of the spring shouldn't cost more than $100 for the pair rather than $326 for the pair plus the cost of installation. I will make sure this review gets posted on other third party review site to benefit a fair opinion on the repair service.

Please know that when it comes to replacing hardware on your door, (in this case, your springs) we only install top-of-the-line hardware at Precision Door. We always recommend and encourage a customer to replace both springs for a couple different reasons: 1) Their safety. Assuming both springs are the same age, either spring could have broken. When a single spring is replaced, the pre-existing spring now has new hardware to contend with and often times, can break the same day or shortly thereafter. 2) The new spring has to work harder, in order to makeup for the toss of torque the pre-existed, fatigued spring has endured during it's life. This can shorted the life of your new spring. We want to ensure you're getting the best quality, life and value out of every Precision repair. We pride ourselves in offering not only an ultimate solution for all our customers, but the best possible hardware solution so, over the course of it's use, you'll begin to see the difference. Our garage door spring broke Saturday night. I called Percision at 9:00 a.m., Sunday, and John arrived at 10:00 that same morning to fix the door. I called thinking I would have to schedule a time later in the week, but that was not the case. John did a great job and we were very please it was fixed so quickly!

The cable on my garage door broke on Friday. I called Precision Door Service Friday evening. A service man arrived Saturday early afternoon. He examined the damage and gave me an estimated cost for the work. Service rate for weekend work is the same as weekdays. He did not tried to sell me anything extra. The work was completed in a couple of hours. We were very happy with their service. Highly recommended!!!!

Jim called ahead of the scheduled visit to provide an estimated arrival time and was not late. He surveyed the door, springs, wires, etc. and we discussed what happed with the door. Jim was very courteous in his explanation of what required fixed, estimated the costs and worked diligently until complete. Afterward we discussed installation costs and process for entire new door since one fixed is 17yrs old. Very happy with the company, employees and email communication pre/post to appointment.

I needed my garage door spring replaced as soon as practical. I looked in the yellow pages for a company in Dublin area where I live. That is where I found Precision Door Service Company. I was told that a repairman wold arrive between 8pm and 10pm the same day. Gary arrived at 8:15pm. He was very professional and efficient. He completed the job in less than 1 hour. While I thought the repair was somewhat expensive I am glad I contacted Precision to do the repair. I would recommend Precision Door Service to others. Thus I am giving you five stars.
