Dear Owners and Staff of Precision Columbus, Thank you for your speedy response and exceptional diagnosis and repair of our garage door mechanism that holds the opener to studs in the garage ceiling. Your installer/technician (I don't know his title) was efficient, very careful, thorough and competent as well as a good PR person for the company. I believe his name was John. Thank you also for crediting the $161.50 charge in full due to the problem being caused by mistakes at the original installation. Our hats are off to you for handling everything so quickly, completely and graciously. And I will be happy to add to your A+ rating at Angie's List with a glorious report. I saw your ad in the YPs I liked that you provided same day service and your credentials. Eric was very polite and explained what was discovered after his assessment. My spring had snapped, 1 cable was weak, and I needed new drums. The quality of his workmanship was excellent. I was a little taken back by the cost, but with all that I had done, I am satisfied.

We have had a problem since the door was installed, but I think we now have it fixed. You might consider putting in new wiring with the garage opener. Gregg used the old wiring and that was the problem. Thanks, Chuck

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad we had the opportunity to make things right! Though prior wiring can typically be installed through drywall (possibly into the framing of the house) and sometimes requires an electrician to address appropriately, we've passed on a memo to all technicians to make this assessment and always replace when possible, as a safest practice. The springs on my garage door broke late on a Sunday evening. My garage door was stuck in the down position with my car trapped inside. I am a physician and needed my car to get to my medical practice for my Monday morning clinic. Jim came quickly that very evening, and fixed the problem efficiently. The bill was reasonable and affordable. Sears did not even bother to answer their phone or return my call.
